The Government will introduce a single permit that combines work and residence permissions, in line with the EU’s Single Permit Directive. Minister for Justice Helen McEntee stated, “By introducing a single permission, we can reduce the cost and complexity for both employers and applicants. This will ensure we can respond effectively and quickly to meet the skills needs of the economy.”
