  • Finnish migration legislation allows foreign citizens to obtain a residence 
    permit in the country on the basis of a startup registration. The program is 
    for start-ups from the IT sector and gives an opportunity to implement a 
    business project on the territory of a developed EU country. 

    To become a temporary resident of Finland, a foreign applicant must 
    register a business plan at the state organization Business Finland, get a 
    positive response from the representatives of the state body, and then 
    submit a package of documents to the Finnish immigration service. 
    Residence permit is issued for a period of 2 years with the right of further 
    extension. In addition, after 6 years of permanent residence in Finland, you 
    can apply for citizenship

Procedure

    4. . Waiting for a decision
      Immigration officials will process your application, review the 
      documents and give approval for residence permit. If the 
      documents were submitted online, you will receive an email 
      with a code for obtaining a residence card.
    5. Issuance of Finnish Residence Card
      Once you are approved by the civil service, you will be issued a 
      Temporary Finnish Resident Card. If you apply online, you will 
      need to collect your card within 15 days of receiving the code

  1. An extract from Business Finland on the approval of the project.2
  2. international passport and color copies of its pages;
  3. marriage certificate (if applicable);
  4. children's birth certificates (if applicable)
  5. 3.6 x 4.7 cm photo;
  6. proof of legal stay in Finland (visa or other);
  7. application for eligibility for Business Finland;
  8. proof of sufficient funds for living in the country
