You will acquire knowledge of operational application systems as well as knowledge and information management. You will also deal with IT risks such as cybercrime, targeted risk prevention, and data protection in the company. As part of project work such as “IT project management & software engineering”, you will train to apply the interdisciplinary knowledge you have acquired in practice and to implement and manage IT projects that support management in strategic decision-making and optimize internal processes.

The skills acquired enable the students to take on responsible specialist and management tasks at the interface between IT and corporate management, e.g. as IT project and process manager or knowledge and information manager.

The master’s degree in industrial engineering at FOM University teaches the necessary skills – from the design of product life cycles in the digitized working world to the optimization of the sale of industrial goods and the management of international, complex projects. You will learn to analyze business processes, develop suggestions for improvement, and keep an eye on production costs with your technical and economic double qualification. Since you will have to deal with a large number of international actors, regulations, and technical conditions in your later career, you will also work specifically on your leadership and organizational skills. In addition, you will deal with questions that are relevant to the marketing of industrial goods and plant construction. This includes

In the Mechanical Engineering bachelor’s degree, you will deal with the fundamentals of materials technology, types of construction, and the structure of electrical machines – from simple drives in the consumer goods sector to complex production lines. Later, you will supplement your knowledge with current knowledge about production systems and digital manufacturing methods.
