Description
A Polish language
certificate is one of the obligatory conditions for persons applying for Polish
citizenship. In the case of a foreigner applying for a job in Poland, this is
also an advantage in the eyes of potential employers.
In June 2021, the University of Economics and
Humanities in Warsaw obtained the authorization to conduct examinations in
Polish as a foreign language and thus became one of the few entities in Poland
authorized to conduct such certified examinations.
State certificate examinations in Polish as a
foreign language are intended to determine competencies in Polish, regardless
of the institutions providing teaching, curricula, materials, and methods used.
Knowledge of the Polish language is defined as the ability to understand
contemporary written and spoken Polish and use the Polish language in speech
and writing.
