Starting from April 30, 2024, Canada is set to raise fees for certain permanent residency programs, making the process more expensive for some applicants. The Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has stated that this fee hike is aligned with the country's Immigrant and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR), which are based on the Consumer Price Index for Canada as published by Statistics Canada.
